This is not a Besra - rather a juvenile female Chinese Goshawk moulting into adult plumage...

At first, I though it was an immature Chinese Goshawk. But on closer analysis, I agree with your observations, which make this another photo-lifer for me...;-)

Wonderful pictures again!
Hmmm, difficult to identify those accipiters, but I will give it a try.
I think this is a immature male Besra. Based on the bright yellow eye, and five bands on the tail. The bird being a immature is based on the slight black barring on the belly. Japanese Sparrowhawk can be ruled out based on those two facts (has a reddish or orangeyellow eye. Chinese Goshawk can be ruled out by the extensive barring on the wings. Pity you cannot see the mesial stripe on the throat of the bird.
