Enjoyed watching one on JB Andrews landed across from my house. Got poor quality pics and video of him snatching a squirrel from the road. It was awesome, I need to get my Nikon d40 fixed, it would have taken amazing photos of it, just 20 feet from us for half hr or so.

Hi Charlie... I am glad that I stumbled onto your site. I'm not a photographer but I do have a thing for watching and identifying birds. And, we are roughly neighbors. I was looking ot the American Bitern and got a kick out of the fact that the picture was taken at Southwest Area Park. I live on Ohio Avenue in Baltimore Highlands and frequent the park often. I have also seen a Bald Eagle in the neighborhood and no one else seems to catch it. Thank you for the picture and my vindication....

I had about 40 bald eagle sightings yesterday @ the Conowingo dam. It was the most I've ever seen in one day. Truly amazing. Spent about an hour & a half there, though I could have stayed all day. I usually see one, maybe two, at the most three at one time, but yesterday was truly amazing!

Charlie, in one of our previous conversations you mentioned seeing many bald eagles at Conawingo Dam. I just got out of the hospital and this would be great theraphy for me. Is this the right times to go. Ron

coming across the Francis Scott Key bridge towards the Bethlehem Steel Co. I had the greatest pleasure to witness an adult Bald Eagle feeding two of their young.they are nested out towards some trees .This is going on even now as we sit .The view was on June 22 2011 at about 5:pm.

I first saw a bald eagle roosting in a tree on Beaver Dam Road in Beltsville during the morning hours, February 2011, on USDA property. Have also seen a pair roosting at the same location.
On March 5, 2011, I saw one flying southbound BW Parkway at Powder Mill Road, I was driving northbound. It was flying above the cars but not at treetop level, so I was able to get a very good look for 15 seconds or so. Did not have my camera. Always carry my camera and binoculars now, just in case I catch one perched. What a magnificent creature!!

I saw 6 soaring over the Susquehanna last year as I drove north across the Conowingo Dam with our Girl Scout troop. I could hardly contain myself as I pointed them out to the girls. Fortunately, I was in the passenger seat and not driving. lol Very impressive birds, and so wonderful to see them thriving in the wild. Great pic!

I am an avid bow-hunter on Maryland's marvelous Eastern Shore. I hunted yesterday and found a deceased deer on the edge of the woods near where I set up to hunt. An hour into my hunt, I heard all sorts of birds calling and frankly, screaming behind me in the direction of the deer on the field. I looked back and discovered 3....yea 3....full grown Bald's feeding, fighting and frolicking. It was an evening to remember. Right there in Willards, Maryland.
