I've recently been doing a lot of research on my family history. These efforts include quite a bit of research in newspapers and brings back many memories. I also came across a lot of past baseball memories. Things were a lot different back in the 1950's. I never really had anyone provide any instruction in the basic fundamentals of baseball. That included taking care of one's arm. I pitched as many as 15 2/3 innings in one game. How many pitches did I throw ? No one counted thrown pitches back then, or cared. That's the way it was, in the mid-1900's and earlier. But, I do think back and wonder what might of been with the right guidance. This was another respectable pitching performance. 17 Strikeouts, NO walks. It seems good control pitchers are hard to find in MLB today. Please excuse me as I visit My "Field of Dreams".
