Opening Day 1965 - Washington Senators

Lost somewhere in the crowd behind home plate is Lyndon B. Johnson who just threw out the first pitch. He threw it from the stands. The Senators were 0-3 in games where he threw out the first pitch. The Boston Red Sox won the game, 7-2. An interesting side note: Big Frank Howard was the highest paid player on the team with a salary of $37,000. My how things have changed ....
