Memorial Stadium, York, PA

This is a view from the infield. Memorial stadium reminded me somewhat of Fenway Park in that there was a high fence in right field, approximately 250 feet from home plate. It was about 330 feet to the short fence in left field and over 400 feet to dead right center. I saw numerous majestic home runs there from future major league ballplayers. Most notable was Jim Hart of the then Springfield Giants who one night hit two long home runs deep over the right centerfield fence.

Charlie,

We at www.Digitalballparks.com are about to do the complete history of the team at Bob Hoffman Stadium to co-inside with the recent 40 page gallery of York Revolution. The history includes all the stats of such former greats as Joe Morgan, Wilbur Wood and of course Brooks Robinson and how the team did every single year at this stadium. Do you have any other photographs of the ballpark? Especially showing the grandstand. We really need to find photographs of now-demolished stadiums and would love to know if you have anything that could help us. We are at digital@digitalballparks.com and we need any stadium that is no longer standing. Thanks so very much!!!!
