Of course you can’t see that I’m getting a good shot of the prescribed medicine – to take lots of walks on the moor because I’m behind the camera but today, for the first time since I’ve been home we’ve been out and walked, despite high winds and hard rain for much of the journey.
Here’s Mum, David, Archie and of course mad Rosie on the old railway line that once took granite out of Kilmar Tor’s quarry and transported it to Looe where it was put onto ships. The granite blocks in this shot are the old sleepers from the line, which have never been removed although the line itself is long gone.
We got very wet, then more-or-less completely dry, then very wet again. All of us except for my Dad who was declared a Northern Softie for refusing to go out in the bad weather.
Despite the rain and wind, it felt good to get out and “take my medicine”.
Last year's shot had yesterday's prop in it!
