I was making myself supper tonight and it occurred to me that these salt and pepper grinders are rather cute and “bunny like”. So, that’s why my broken camera was pointed at them and clicked.
We’re still on green mode and still I have no idea whether there is a photo until I get the card out and look at it on the PC.
Don’t you think they’re like strange little black-eared, round-faced bunnies?
I once tried to do my bit for the unwanted rabbits of the world by taking in poor lonely little souls whose owners had grown out of them or lost interest or whatever. At one point I had eleven and four guinea pigs, all unwanted and unloved by their previous owners.
I had all of the males neutered and they lived in little family groups, usually of two females and a male – even neutered males are difficult to put together. They all got plenty of safe space, plenty of food and water and were cared for until the end of their natural. I decided a few years ago that I had to put a halt to it because I’d never intended to become a one-woman rabbit sanctuary so I started to say no to people who asked me to take them on. Now there is one left, he’s a male of about ten years old and as doddery as anything but he’s still reasonably active and has become strangely more friendly in recent times.
So now I have a garden full of wild ones and my little old chap. They don’t seem to interact at all, simply ignoring each other as far as I can tell.
