27th November 2006 - frustration and more bloody cheese

This is it – the final shot – Jarlsberg and even though cheese is strictly forbidden on my diet, I have scoffed a bit of this and it is utterly exquisite! Delicious beyond my wildest hopes. Perhaps because it’s at room temperature, perhaps because I am deprived of such oral pleasure at the moment or perhaps because it’s just plain yummy I don’t know but this mousy cheese is heavenly.

I am chuffed to bits that my clothes are now too big but I am so miserable at the constraints of this diet. I LOVE cheese so this is the ultimate torture for me.

Why frustration? Because we’ve had a hell of a storm here and one of yesterday’s ticks has been unticked by storm damage – that lobby painting? Well, it’s been ruined by rainwater coming in with the gales that are buffeting us at the moment. It’s difficult to explain but the seal at the bottom of the window is dodgy but it doesn’t really matter when the wind isn’t blowing straight at it and raining. It’s the combination of these things that has mucked up my work because trickles of water over the sill and down the barely dry wall has caused a sort of river effect, leaving the paint damaged and puddles of white painty water on the floor.

I am distraught – and back to the feeling of paranoia that I’m being sabotaged. Gggggrrrrrrrr.

Now? I climb a ladder and paint for my sins!

I liked my pic of last year - recycle, reuse and reduce!

Sorry about the storm and frustration. BUT, this is another great still life. Great color light and placement of the elemets of the image. Fabulous!--Rene

I recognise that crockery! I can't believe you still have 4 pieces intact after all these years...or is it a replacement for the original set bought in 1984?!

Thta's a great shot. And damn you for posting it, girl! I have several food intolerances, including dairy or wheat...and that looks too delicious for words..!

Sorry to hear about the puddles, hope the cheese made the troubles disappear if only for a moment...

I am not allowed any dairy food, it's a real bugga.
Shame about the paint, but you should both give it a rest till Feb.
Life's too short to get knackered over cosmetic changes to the house.

MMmmm ... Cheese Grommet! Nicer with the 'Hovis' style biscuits IMO though ...

I love Atlantic storms, but not when they ruin your handiwork.
