As you’ll know, I like my PAD to be laden with symbolism and very unsubtle.
So, here is a spider, dead, trapped in a web designed for another creature. Sooner or later, I like to think that this will be the fate of the “baddies” in my world. I’d like to think that in the dog-eat-dog, or in this case spider-eat-spider that someone will come along and gobble up the ones that are currently doing the gobbling.
Sometimes, I’m forced, by circumstance, into doing things that I find morally repugnant and today is one of those days. I have been doing something that is truly the filthy, foul work of the devil. I can’t say what for fear of reprisals but believe me, I’m not proud of it in any way, shape or form.
I am at the very bottom of the food chain, I’ve been well and truly gobbled up by fate this year and I’m hoping that the gobblers, will soon be just the fodder of bigger, more frightening and more vicious spiders.
Meanwhile, being at the bottom of the food chain and a mere amoeba, I have been spat out and assumed dead by my tormentors but as all good amoeba do, I’m just starting to come alive again, just starting to think about dividing cells and replicating, just starting to develop, just starting to be in a position to start to be called a living organism.
Where my little amoeba-like existence goes on, there is hope for a bigger, more fully rounded Linda to jump back into the world. Only next time, I will have done what nature always does, find a way to make myself a little better protected, a little less edible and a little more resistant to being gobbled up.
I can’t wait to witness my tormentors wrapped up in their own webs of lies and deceit slowly decomposing and waiting for the day when they are eaten.
Oh yes, I will get some sadistic pleasure in that one all right, in the meantime, here’s the pic, dripping with symbolism.
Can you tell this amoeba has regained some fighting spirit?
Last year, I was doing DIY in heaven!
