Even though I’ve been moaning on about the amount of rubbish under trees and bushes in the garden, I spotted this today. It’s part of a heinous crime scene – the crime (well, civil offence actually) of not removing rubbish when vacating a property has been well-documented by me. The perpetrator, Mad Maureen, oblivious of the pain and suffering she has caused, not to mention cost, resides in a nice little bungalow not five miles from here and is still an odds-on favourite to get a fly-tipping one of these days!
I have been toiling today, despite it being a ‘day off’ my day job. Doing stuff on ‘the grand plan’ – in fact, doing stuff for two different strands of the plan. I’m hoping that by multi-tasking some of my ‘bets’ will come good sooner or later.
However, this little broken pot was uncovered by the fencer who hacked into the thicket to give himself room to work on rabbit-proofing our garden. In the late afternoon sun, you could almost imagine you were in Pompeii – well, I could anyway!
Terracotta is a great favourite of mine – it somehow seems to suggest delightful Mediterranean stuff. Warmth, laid-back culture, Latin spirit…….ahhhhhh.
Now I’m away!
Last year, I was also slogging on the grand plan - we have moved on a lot since then.
