I have knicked a title from DM’s photo a day today. He reason for getting his shot was borne out of an entirely different mood to mine. His was rage – he’d been really pissed off by accolades for a photographer whose photographs were NEVER sharp, usually badly composed and often tediously dull too, yet this person got strings of ‘oh this is wonderful’ comments on the pics posted within moments of posting.
He wandered around the house on the day he posted the pic, waving his camera at things and clicking. The result was quite good in a bizarre sort of way. Here is his 'random bad photo'.
Mine however is an entirely different reason for a ‘random bad photo’ and it’s not even the excuse ‘I was working from 7.30am to 10pm so this is the best I could do’, which was sort of my excuse yesterday. My reason was a packed working day, followed by a quick scoot around to get the animals fed and put away, followed by getting me a bit spruced up to go out for the evening for supper with friends.
I had no opportunity for a pic all evening so I got home slightly squiffy and adopted DMs patented technique of wandering around the house pointing my camera at things in the rather vain and certainly inglorious hope of a good shot. So, his random good photo came out of anger and mine came out of intoxication!
While I was doing this, DM had flumped. He’d just decided enough was enough and marched off to bed……
Strangely, this morning, he tells me he thinks it’s an excellent photo – I dunno about that, I’d still say it’s cack. My pics of yesterday and today do seem to have a somewhat minimalistic feel to them. Perhaps less really is more!!!!! (She says with her tongue where? Yeah, you guessed it, firmly planted in her cheek!)
I was shooting tortoises last year.....well their shells anyway!!!!
