When I got home late last night, I had two parcels waiting for me. One from my Uncle Phil and Marie, which contained a mouse mat and a coaster with my photos on them!!!! Cool – thanks to you both, they’re fab. I am sitting here with my tea on the coaster and my mouse on the mat as I type.
The other was from the very, very wonderful Lush, whose web-based mail order service I use for most of my toiletries. For some reason, I don’t get on with their hair conditioners, but the rest of their stuff is just amazing.
This little gem is a Karma solid shampoo. It looks just like a soap but when you shower, you rub it round your scalp and it froths up into the most lush, bubbly shampoo you’ve ever experienced. What’s more, it has the fragrance to die for. I’ve been a devotee for a couple of years now and always have a little stash of new bars in the cupboard so I don’t run out but over Christmas I managed to overlook the fact that I’d opened the last one weeks earlier and there were no more left.
I have been pining ever since. When we arrived back from Cornwall, I got myself online as quick as a flash and placed an order. It arrived while I was away and so tomorrow morning, I can use this little beauty to return the karma to my world. Oh and how I need it. I need to just be here – to have Rosie sat on my knee and Arch beside the sofa. I need to eat a meal I’ve prepared (better than anything I ever eat away from home). I need to be wrapped up in the love of DM. All of these things I need to become ‘me’ again.
If you have any doubt as to whether this stuff is as good as I say, go and place an order for a bar, use it then make sure you get close to lots of people. EVERY time I hug someone who I’ve not embraced before, they always tell me that my hair smells wonderful. No really. It’s true. They do. It’s only been happening since I started using this stuff. It’s magical. It’s like being Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz and her heel clicking in spangly shoes. It’s like being a star. It’s like having your cake and eating it.
Ah – it’s good to be home.
