I spend a lot of time moaning about Jo's unreliability and her general 'devil may care' attitude to life, but I miss her terribly when she's not around - that's when I notice how much she does when she is here. She's just come back from a week's holiday in Portugal and I came home from work to find her dressed in my clothes (and of course looking MUCH better in them than I do) and bringing tales of mishaps and misdemeanours in Portugal.

She always gives off this air of being completely unaware of everything that goes on around her but today I've been chatting to her about a problem I've been having lately and she's put her finger on the heart of the problem straight away (sorry about the mixed metaphor for those who care!). She's not only been aware of the problem for some time but she's also been trying in her own kind way to remedy it for me. Bless her heart.
