pride and joy

I waited and waited for a new cooker - my old one gradually failed over a period of 2-3 years. First one ring failed, then another, then another, then the grill went, then the fan assisted oven went. Just before Christmas I suddenly thought 'how am I going to cook Christmas lunch on this?'. I was suddenly faced with the prospect of trying to cook a Christmas dinner on a single ring and small oven.

Internet shopping came to the rescue - a quick surf and found the cooker I wanted, very cheap, with splashback and hood all for less than the price of the cooker alone in the shops. A few clicks later and a few days wait and this, my pride and joy, arrived. It was a gleaming and beautiful cooker, perfect for cooking a big meal and such a joy to use after years of putting up with my old cooker gradually failing.

Only six months later, the cooker looks as if it is twenty years old and looks as though it has survived a bombing.

Will it ever recover? Who knows - if it doesn't I'm going to sue!

Had to come and take a look at the other cooker! Good shot, like the lighting!
