It’s amazing and not a little scary how this woman is trying to court us now that there is an election imminent. She’s been utterly disinterested in us for the last four and a half years yet she’s suddenly “keeping us regularly informed” about all of the wonderful things she’s doing on our behalf. I’ve written to her on a number of occasions and each has met with absolute disdain. There has not been a single happy outcome for me on any of them.
Regularly informed? Well if you consider one communication in four and a half years regular then yes, I suppose you could say that. After all, there is nothing to imply that regular is the same as frequent, is there? I eagerly anticipate the fact that there won’t be another regular update because four and a half years after the next election, hopefully she will have been confined to the scrapheap of political life and there will be someone in her wake who actually does give a damn.
It’s the ultimate moral dilemma now for me because I can only see one party locally who could possibly oust her and that one is as mad as a box of frogs. So, do I tactically vote to try to get the incumbent out or do I waste my vote on a party that has no hope of success in our constituency. It’s the most depressing of choices I can imagine.
In the meantime, this comic will do an excellent job as a fire starter in our grate tomorrow.
