DM needs a passport……
In a wonderful and slightly unreal burst of good luck, I found myself with a bit more money this morning than I expected. Partly it’s because I’m working quite a lot all of a sudden and partly it’s a little “inheritance” that’s come my way unexpectedly.
So, we’ve decided that for the first time in our nine years together we’re going to take a short holiday somewhere warm. I can’t remember the last time I went away on a holiday outside the UK other than things tagged around work – you know, I got a work trip somewhere and DM would come along for a few days either before or after work. Mainly that has meant we’ve been to places that are business locations, so large cities – Madrid, Barcelona, Lyon, New York etc. Not that I’m complaining but they’re hardly places for relaxation in my view.
I have a real hankering to swim in the sea – the last time I did that was two days in Malta in 1997 so it’s time I had that pleasure again, I think. OK – I know it’s possible to swim in the sea here but in truth, it’s not a great pleasure because it’s too flippin’ cold. Not to mention the fact that the weather here for the last two summers has been shockingly bad.
In order to achieve a week away, DM needs a passport because his has expired. So, he asked me to press the shutter on some serious pics that he set up and organised for his new passport. When he’d got his shot, I asked him to get his uke and took this. That’s the reason for his “posh” gear.
He’s a very handsome man, I think you’ll agree.
