dancing boy

I actually hesitated to post this shot as my lighting was badly controlled.
But he brought much joy to me that day when I met him and he definitely deserved a place in my gallery.
He's a very young street performer. He danced as his older brother played the musical instrument.
He's rather reluctant, perhaps finding it tiring and boring. But when a kind visitor gave him a watch,
he was so excited and started his dance again. He's such an adorable kid, putting a big smile on me!
I rewarded him with some sweets and he kept dancing and coming back to me for more. How could I resist him? :-)

The lure of sweets! The face says please but the hand is more insistant. Your angle emphasises the plea for more and the wish in all of us to reach that bit little bit higher.

I've just sneaked back into this gallery to see if you've been around and there's loads I've missed. This is a wonderfully dynamic portrait with great energy.I think I woul;d have dropped to my knees to capture him from his level but I am a well and truly programmed primary school teacher. This perspective is much more powerful.

I see no "problems" with this image at all, Ai Li. The exposure is fine. There are no distractions in this image. It is all emotion. The vantage point makes his gestures even more compelling.

The lighting was bad????? Difficult to handle maybe, but very well controlled. I really like the wide angle here, the colors, the point of view. The way he looks at you shows a connection between you and him. Excellent image indeed!

Superb capture Ai Li!
The twist of the fingers and the expression on his face
just jump out at the viewer.
Power in imagery.

Great portrait - shot from above is cool with the grey background of the floor; he stands out a lot.
