remember

~ Pictures hanging in a hallway
And a fragment of a song
Half remembered names and faces
But to whom do they belong
When you knew that it was over
in the autumn of goodbyes
for a moment you could not recall
the color of her eyes... ~

Dedicated to Kathy who taught me to see and find beauty, strength and love.

I love the darkness of this photo, especially because it portrays such a tender moment, one that it's easily associated with light... by using it so sparingly, you've made us look closer and become more intimate with the emotions you were trying to show us.
Sometimes, it's really when the light does not seem enough for us to see clearly, that we end up seeing way beyond what lies before our eyes...

Imagine a woman face down on a pillow.. her legs drawn up on either side, trying desperately to shut out the noise - but the noise is from within, as thoughts keep running through her head, and going Round...
OK the actual image is about letting go of memories. But it's a great conceptual song, and the idea of the woman on a bed with her face in a pillow fits in so well with the song - as does this, as part of the dream the song portrays. v.

I saw what Jude did...I like that we all see what we want to. I also love the power of a memory almost let go...or has it been simply set free ;-)K

if jude mc is crazy... than i must be crazy too.
i thought the same when i saw the thumbnail...
Beautiful work. Its so dark but I love it! :)

The proportion of dark and light is the opposite of your latest gallery imagess. Still you manage with the low key as well as the high key to isolate some body pieces. Interesting illustration of the beauty - human and vegetal interlaced. I think that you make the beauty, Ai Li, you do more than seing it. Vote.

The hands open as if to gently release the flower from confinement - a fleeting fragment of a memory or dream.

this might sound crazy but from the thumb and even from this photo I see a woman face down on a pillow.. her legs drawn up on each side. I thought that was you, but I see the hands reaching gently for the flower. Amazing that this is two photos in one.

Very beautiful. Have no idea why, but love it a lot. Probably because of the mood.
