The eyes work. The dresses work. But the bricks on their shoulders don't work. Not only should we scan our edges while shooting, we should also carefully look at the background to see if everything it helps us tell our story. Digital imaging even gives us a second chance. If you can't see these bricks in your viewfinder, you should have seen them on your LCD screen an instant later, and made the shot again from a slightly different vantage point. It will come with experience, Ai Li. Street photography and street portraiture is not easy. It can take as much thought as you give your preconceived ideas in the studio.
