Moon + Venus + Jupiter

Limerick, Ireland

An interesting astronomical event this evening ... Venus, Jupiter, and the crescent moon are very close together in the south-western sky just after sunset. The moon passes in front of Venus, with Venus emerging at about 5.10 pm. Venus is the brighter of the two planets.

I caught this a bit earlier or later, maybe. I was great because the planets made eyes and the moon a perfect mount -- together a sad face -- like

Poor Jupiter. What do they call Jupiter now? A dwarf planet. The poor guy.

Beautiful image here. The composition is really strong. Congratulations.
