Tiny hand-whipped seamline

This is the seam technique I used on the chiffon sleeves. The seam is machine stitched, then the seam allowances are folded over and whipstitched together by hand. The excess is trimmed off after stitching. The pencil is in the photo because the camera could find nothing to focus on otherwise. You can see the tiny hand stitches, which look almost gold in color, but are actually a lighter brown, fine silk thread.
