Lewis, your spider galleries are amazing! I will never forget the first golden silk that I ever saw. It was on Ocracoke Island and I very nearly walked into one at face level. Being a bit of an arachnaphobe I ran screaming from it but returned to stare for a long time. It made quite an impression on me. I think I was about 12 years old.
