Chinese Water Dragon (Asian Water Dragon)

Physignathus cocincinus
Native to lowland and highland forest of India
Northern and Southern China, and SE Asia.
These lizards possess a small idridescent photo-
sensitive spot between their eyes know as a
pineal gland, sometimes known as a third eye.
It is thought this this gland helps to thermo-
regulate their bodies temperature.
