This little Mom and Pop grocery store was a fixture in west Tulsa for as long as I have been alive.
Long before there were big grocery store chains like Albertsons and Safeway there were these
family owned corner stores. We used to live down the street from H&E, and it was where we did
most of our shopping. They had a in-house butcher. They would cash a check for you even if you
didn't buy anything. They closed their doors for good on Feb. 12, 2005.
