This top is probably what, 40 years old?
I've had it since I was pretty young.. always thought it was cool.

Or maybe a pint of guiness, depends if I'm feeling poetic or prosaic!

It looks like a jewel!

I personally like to see variety in photos. This is a very strong composition. I love those old tops and really like it in b/w.

Great shot!!

yes it was spinning... to answer the other question, it's a Duncan, plastic top.. the white spot you see spinning by on the side is the tab you press in to open it to store your string inside :)

Very nice!

Very well taken capture. I am going to have to guess, in the absence of shooting data, that it was spinning. The slight tilt really makes the shot.

Beautiful,Laryl. Looks like it's made of glass?
Laryl18-Feb-2005 03:08
lol well I could claim it's something awesome and cool but.. it's the top of a very dirty beige plastic picnic table.. I kind of like the texture as well, makes it look like concrete or the ground or something.. but hey I'm way too old to be getting down eye level .. especially with a camera that is strictly viewfinder framing!

I like how the action is stopped, but you know it is spinning. Very nice. What is the "powder" on the surface? It really adds to the interest of the picture.

ding! ding! ding! we have a winner here!

It is a cool top and nicely captured action. I like how the bottom foot(??) reflects into the shiny surface above. Just today I was thinking about my variety of photo pursuits. I don't think I could do it any other way and still keep the PAD goal interesting and fun. So, have fun exploring and I'll have fun viewing your creative works.
