Tren and I visited our friend Ellen today. This new fairy seemed to be a fun subject both because her shirt/blouse was so pretty but also because she is so colorful and decorated I thought it might make a good b/w photo as well.

Our schools start back up in mid August, but for now it's still summer vacation.
Trenity wanted to ride her bike for a bit but really it's just too hot still.
I had her ride toward me a couple times so I could take a photo for today...
then we came in to the a/c! whew it's hot out there!

I'm working on two challenges this month. Click to see more: "SHIRTS" and "Black/White"

Missed this one before. Yes, it looked like the clean version of mine. Lovely

Her face makes me think of "The Dark Crystal" and the faces of the Gelflings. Nice shot. :)

Great idea: and she magicked herself into two shots!

Lovely photo, Laryl. Nice toning on the b&w.

She looks fabulous in B&W! Great shot.

B&W definitely wins here! :))

Very pretty, the detail stands out more in B&W!

I love them both...
She reminds me a little of "Lady Penelope"...from my childhood.

I agree, the B&W looks best.
Yvonne03-Aug-2008 00:23
Pretty either way, but the b/w version is my favourite.

Pretty fairy, indeed better in b&w :)
Mairéad02-Aug-2008 23:32
Very pretty, but I think I prefer her in B&W .

Beautiful portrait, both versions. She's very colorful, but I love how it translates into b&w too.

She's quite a doll...love her best in colour though as they are lovely tones
