Rosy maple moth (Dryocampa rubicunda, #7715

Larose Forest

This medium sized moth is a member of the giant silkmoth family. This species varies in colour, some are mainly cream coloure, others yellow with a hint of pale pink, and then there are these gorgeous creatures! Very common at this time of year; I think I must have seen 15+ last night.
