Hickory tussock moth (Lophocampa caryae), #8211

Reveler Conservation Area

One of the moths that came to the lights last night while out mothing at the Conservation Area. The larvae of this moth are also pretty, and often quite common at the site as there are hundreds of bitternut hickories, one of their favourite larval host plants.
