An ambush bug nymph has caught an unwary plant bug. You know summer is really here when the ambush bugs start appearing. The adults are somewhat larger than this one and with a different pattern. They patiently sit and wait for prey to land and then they amubush the unsuspecting insect. I have seen them with prey many times larger than themselves.
