Guard dog

This beautiful dog lives and works on a sheep farm. He lives with the sheep 24/7 and protects them from attack by coyotes and dogs. In the 15 years or so of using dogs such as this one, no sheep have been lost.

I wish ranchers would use guard dogs more out west so maybe they would be less likely to have to shoot coyotes and wolves. Great photo, Christine!
