Cumberland Forest. Earlier, I posted a photo showing more of the stink bug. This time I show the ambush bug in greater detail. Ambush bugs are well-named, for they sit very still on a plant, blending in with the vegetation, and wait until an unsuspecting insect lands nearby. They then attack extraordinarily fast and pierce the insect rending it incapable of moving. Being a bug, they then suck out the juices of the poor prey!
