Burnt Lands Provincial Park. This very brightly coloured and pretty larva is that of an elm sawfly. It will turn into a very large wasplike insect (see here for the adult male: http://www.pbase.com/laroseforest/image/106079624). It is in the Hymenoptera family which includes wasps and bees.
