This is a large and rather attractive blister beetle, here found on vetch (Vicia cracca) in Larose Forest.

Very cool beetles. I wonder how predators know not to mess with this species because of the rather dull markings. There's one species we have out here that really announces its danger:http://www.pbase.com/pegsam/image/97671841
