Fiery skipper (Hylephila phyleus), male

A rare species in our area. The fiery skipper was first found in Ottawa in the same location in 1998. It was found again by another butterfly enthusiast in August, 2012 allowing many of us the chance to see and photograph this rarity. Some reports say there are at least 8 present. I've seen no more than 3 at one time, but even seeing one would be a treat!
