Leafhopper (Gyponana octolineata)

A large leafhopper found coming to sheets when mothing one night. It stayed on the sheet at the Fletcher Wildlife Garden, for the entire time we were mothing.

Pretty leafhopper, one of the few fast moving, jumping, flying insects that don't make me jump. The little guys are so pretty and harmless looking! Great colors and details. Excellent!!!

Cute little bug. I wonder if it likes the heat from the sheets during this phase. Beautifully captured. V.

Perhaps it liked the warmth of your lamp, nice to see such a fine macro, to see the full body in great detail. V
