Asian ladybeetle (Harmonia axyridis) and Oleander aphids (Aphis nerii)

A mild windy day at the Fletcher Wildlife Garden, with a mix of sun and clouds. I was happy to see that there are still some insects around! These were on a common milkweed plant. Oleander aphids are particularly abundant on milkweeds, including the swamp milkweed, and the ladybeetle of course, is their predator.

Colors are quite beautiful here -- the way everything glows -- the bark, Ms. Lady, and even the aphids. Such a nice place this must be to visit.
