This little guy was eating a large grasshopper at the Fletcher Wildlife Garden. Chipmunks will eat a wide variety of food, including fruit, seeds, nuts, insects, salamanders, etc.
sounds a healthy diet, and a fortifying one for a creature that expends so much energy scampering about...he's handsome and sympathetic though, and very well-portrayed in this crisp capture...V
