Fletcher Wildlife Garden. There were a number of nymphal cases on a red osier dogwood, and a few of the very tiny adults around. The adults are quite unlike most other spittlebugs, in shape and pattern. These secretions seemed to be a bit thicker and less foam-like than is usually found with the common meadow spittlebugs and diamond-backed spittlebugs.
