Diamond- backed spittlebug nymph (Lepyronia quadrangularis)

Another species of spittlebug. This time there were two nymphs in the case (the second one is to the lower left and mostly hidden). These cases keep the nymphs moist (necessary) and protected. They are created when the nymphs emit a secretion from their behinds.
