Red squirrel nest

Nortel woods. You can see that this nest is made largely of dried grass, strips of plant fibres and moss. The entrance hole is at the top. A red squirrel ran from the nest as I approached, so I took the time for only a couple of photos and quickly left.

As our leaves fell off of your tree in front of my yard. Ive noticed to large nest up in our tree. My neighbor asked me if those were squirrel nests. I told her I wasnt sure never seen one. I looked on your website and surely enough it is a squirrel. They are not to far apart. One large tree branch seperates them. Thats something new I learned today that I have never known before. I might be able to quickly get some pics of it.
