Mushroom hung in tree to dry, by red squirrel

Fletcher Wildlife Garden. Red squirrels often hang mushrooms in trees to dry. A mushroom hanging in a tree is a good sign that a red squirrel is living nearby. However, they won't stay there long once they are dry, for the squirrels will stash them away for feeding on later.

Unbelievable, more flavorful when dry or just a way of hording for the future? I am amazed that your eye is so trained as to pick up these little signs. Bravo, Christine!! V
