A Tribute to my Nikes.jpg

You must understand that I hate exercising. I prefer to sit at a cafe with my friends and enjoy hot chocolate and sweets than to spend 20 minutes, 30 minutes or yuck an hour at a gym. So imagine some people's surrprise when I've announced that I was hiring a personal trainer. So to psyche myself up, I bought these sneakers and wore them tonight to my first session.... And I survived. And I loved it. And I felt so... ok I'll be honest so HAPPY IT WAS OVER! But I did it! I did it. And I am proud of myself. So tonight I decided to post this picture to remind myself of my accomplishement. Does this mean I'll go back next week? Hell yeah. Just to experience the high I felt once it was over!

Jeanne you're funny.:) the thing is I don't exercise, this is the first time in years that I have stepped foot into a gym.

Thank you everybody for your support. And Mark you just gave me an idea. On Wednesdays I will post a photo related to my workout that night.

Very pleasing image, Lara. Well executed! It was swimming that got me on a high, as it gave me exercise and a sense of freedom. All the best for your training:-)

Congratulations. I usually overdo it when I go to the gym. But if I miss a few days, like over Christmas, I can't get started again. Great memory photo. But only once a week?!

Yes you're right Jill. I did take it slow. Boy did he make me work at each machine nice and slow to really work the muscle. I wonder if that's probably why I enjoyed it. Even though he was pushing me to do one more Come on Lara one more. I wasn't going: "OH my God when is this over?"

I second what virginia coastline said. Well captured shot.

Yes, it is difficult to get going. Once you do, WOW that high is worth it. I have been known to spend 2 hours at the gym as a result of FEELING SO GOOD! But dont do it...I got sick from excess...can you believe that? So take it slow.

Hey you're right. Ha No I didn't plan it that way. Cool.

Clever, Lara, very clever. Neat the way the sole of the shoe leads in & the trademark logoflips you to the laces & the two sets of laces complement each other. Don't know if you planned all that activity but it works!
