Acacia baileyana

My backyard, Richmond NSW

I planted it in 1995. It grew to about 10 metres in 10 years, looking more spectacular
every August. Then it collapsed under its own weight and died. A moral for us all.

This is not a native of the Sydney region, which is my excuse for having misidentified it
here for years. It counts as a weed in many parts of the world, even in parts of Australia.
