From an outside table at a cafe where we stopped for a drink. Note the concrete structure on the left.
There used to be a coral reef off shore here, but it was mined to make concrete to build tourist hotels.
With the reef gone, the sea washed away the sand of the beaches the tourists had come to enjoy.
So more concrete was used to build things like this to protect the remnants of the beaches.
