There is a very rough road round the north-east tip of Bali. The country here is very dry and the
people are poor. Rocks and goats, not rice. At about the place where this road rounds the point
in this picture, we passed a group of women carrying buckets of water on their heads. The
water is delivered by truck to the beach, and the women carry it for miles to their village.
