Gladesville Bridge

Parramatta River, Sydney Harbour view map

At the time it was built, in the 1960s, this was the longest concrete arch bridge in the world.
(There are many longer than this now, mainly in China.) It replaced a low-level bridge with an
opening span; it had trams, I remember! The idea was to allow clearance for the size of ship
likely to use new port development upstream. But nothing taller than a good-sized yacht goes
this far up the harbour, and there's never going to be any port development upstream.

other sizes: small medium original auto
