Something Cold.....

An archive posting from 2005 of something cold........reading through the comments reminds me of how many great photographers no longer post on Pbase.....but of course a many great ones have filled their place too.

Have not tried this before & I know I cannot claim to have achieved the best...far from it. But it was fun & I'm reasonably happy with the results, but I would love anyone to critique...I need all the help I can get.

I would say this is one of the best drop shots I've ever seen. Personally, I have never had any success with them so I am really impressed by your accomplishment here

This is a stunning shot Laine. With the droplet suspended, it emphasizes the curves and gives the image a soft look... a bit like looking at a peice of ice. I think the flash was a perfect touch to give highlights and define the edges. I'm not sure what you did to get that color but it works nicely. Bravo!
