Farne Island Boat Trips

One of my favourite stories when I was a child was that of the young Grace Darling who lived in a lighthouse and along with her father one dark and stormy night rescued people. On this boat tour you could visit Grace Darling's Lighthouse. Sadly the sea was a bit rough this day and we were on our way to Bamburgh Castle so this was as close as I got.

I like how you composed this image with excellent story telling qualities. Wonderful vibrance and colors. Making boating plans can often lead to disappointment due to ocean and weather conditions. V+

It's good you included the folks in the photo, nice street shot.

If you do make it another day, remember to wear a hat or cap, as the Arctic Terns like to 'peck' you on the head when you step ashore!

Good to get the disappointed-looking people in view. Hopefully you'll be able to go there on another trip!
