Salamanca Place, Hobart

Once fronting the wharf these beautifully restored warehouses are where the Saturday Markets are held

Salamanca markets
When they first began in the 1970s there were 6 stallholders, now there are 300 and every saturday 25,000 - 40,000 people visit. It is Tasmania’s most visited tourist venue.
