chalk and cheese

Our girl & wild ducks. Temporarily separated from the parents when they waddled up to
her. She was happy to allow them to wander around.
Struck me as a perfect choice for # 21 Chalk & Cheese :)

Awwww...that's perfect. Even though I have no idea what 'chaulk and cheese' means. Still have to look that up. Must be a local term.

Awww, cute!! And a great C & C interpretation - the saying means anything two things that are polar opposites - black/white, fast/slow....or two things which you don't often see together - cat/mouse...teenagers/respectful attitude and even dog/chick!!!!
Frank Wilson06-Oct-2009 05:04

Great choice for chalk and cheese. This term is going to have a wide interpretation in the challenge. What fun!
Laryl06-Oct-2009 02:32
I looked up chalk and cheese and got a different 'understanding' so my shot for it is much different take, but the fun is we all interpret how we want and I get your version just fine.. it's fun! they are very different

This is such a sweet photo, just priceless. Thanks for sharing!
When I saw the scavenger list, I didn't understand chalk and cheese either. I was going to ask Doug about it. Obviously it isn't an American saying... :)

I had no idea what was meant by chalk and cheese and still wondering but if it is something like this, then I might be able to come up with something. Love the image! Very sweet!
